코로나19 상황이 종료됨에 따라 국내 비대면 의료 서비스에 대한 임시조치가 해제되었고 이에 대해 정부와 업계에서 많은 노력을 기울이고 있으나 단기적으로 비대면 의료서비스의 확장성을 담보하기 어려운 상황입니다. 이에 그간 비대면 의료서비스를 제공하고 있던 업체들은 이에 맞추어 서비스 전환 및 사업 종료 등을 고려하고 있습니다.
하지만 바이오패스포트 재단은 세계적인 디지털 헬스케어 산업의 급격한 성장 속 국내 의료시장의 디지털 전환기인 지금, 그간의 비대면 의료 서비스 개발 경험과 네트워크를 바탕으로 끊임없이 디지털 헬스케어 서비스를 만들어 가고자 합니다.
특히 장기적인 관점으로 국내 의료서비스의 양적, 질적 확장을 위하여 기존의 의료서비스와 디지털 기술의 접점에 대해 많은 고민을 해왔고, 넓은 관점의 서비스보다 특정 계층과 세대에 집중하여 디지털 전환의 기반을 만들어 나가는 것이 큰 의미가 있을 것으로 판단했습니다.
우리사회에서 급속도로 커져가는 고령화의 문제가 그 지점입니다.
바이오패스포트 재단은 그간 고령 의료취약계층에 대한 비대면 진료 서비스 및 디지털 리터러시 교육 그리고 고대병원-현대차와 함께 이동형병원 프로젝트를 진행해 왔습니다. 하지만 시니어 세대는 디지털 전환시대에 가장 소외된 계층이기도 하고 저출산, 저성장 등의 다른 미래의 문제들에게 우선순위가 다소 밀려 있는 것이 현실입니다.
이에 바이오패스포트 재단은 시니어 세대에 대한 통합적인 디지털 헬스케어 서비스들을 개발해 나가면서 앞으로 맞이하게 되는 고령화 시대를 준비해가도록 하겠습니다.
